Closeup of the eyes. I make the eyes using a technique call Millifiori or thousand flowers. I make a long rod with the cross section looking like an eye and then can make many eyes using round chips off of the original rod.

The head is removable so that the bulb inside can be easily changed. The siphon on the neck of the octopus unscrews and the head slides off.

The tentacles lock into place on the frame so that they will not swing back and forth and are securely fastened to the frame with a nut.
